PRIDE group at USD to celebrate 21 years at Saturday event

SAN DIEGO -- PRIDE - The University of San Diego's (USD) LGBT student group - will celebrate its 21st anniversary with a special fundraiser celebration on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Students, faculty, alumni, friends and supporters of USD's LGBT community are welcome to attend the event, which is being sponsored by alumni of USD's PRIDE group.

Founded in 1991, the group has a long history of bringing LGBT issues to the forefront of the private Catholic university.

With Pride and CityFest now being only distant memories we look to future with bright expectations for next year's festivities.

But shouldn't Pride be celebrated year-round? I was having difficulty grasping my own personal pride this year, so I looked to a friend to help reignite the flame and make me shine again.

San Diego Pride honors parade contingents and volunteers

SAN DIEGO -- As the dust settles on the 2012 San Diego LGBT Pride celebration, held in July, the organization has announced the winning contingents from this year's Pride Parade and has honored the 2012 volunteers of the year.

This year's San Diego LGBT Pride Parade, held Saturday, July 21, set attendance records with over 200,000 people estimated to line the streets to watch the event pass by. Nearly 200 contingents participated in this year's parade, with the following being honored:

Another San Diego Pride weekend has come and gone. I hope everyone is recovering well!
