Life with Benny: Signs of the times

With so much of our activism done online and through Social Media these days, it's a lot of fun to see the various posters people make when attending marriage equality rallies and other LGBT pride events.

Monday evening's rally held in San Diego - on the eve of the Supreme Court's Prop 8 hearing - had plenty of great handmade signs and posters in support of equality - including one that went viral!

Surfrider Foundation to rally to stop seismic testing off California's Central Coast

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- The Surfrider Foundation is calling on supporters to rally on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in opposition of a proposed seismic testing project along California’s Central Coast.

The rally will take place during the California Coastal Commission meeting at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

San Diegans celebrate Prop 8 ruling with march, rally

SAN DIEGO – Despite a light rain, approximately 150-200 people came out last night to celebrate the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal’s ruling to uphold a lower court’s decision that Proposition 8 was unconstitutional.

Marchers met at 6 pm at the southeast corner of University and Sixth Avenues, in preparation for the short walk to the Joyce Beers Center in Uptown.
