Rutgers University names new student center for Tyler Clementi

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Rutgers University has announced it has named a new student named for Tyler Clementi, a gay student who jumped to his death in 2010 after his roommate used a webcam to record Clementi in an intimate encounter with another man.

Dharun Ravi, the former Rutgers University student convicted earlier this year of using a webcam to spy on his gay roommate who later committed suicide, will turn himself in Thursday to begin serving a 30-day prison term.

PFLAG San Diego to discuss cyber bullying at meeting Monday

SAN DIEGO -- PFLAG San Diego will include a special presentation on cyber bullying at its monthly meeting at 7 pm Monday, Feb. 27.

Parents, Friends and Families of Lesbians and Gay (PFLAG) is a support, education, and advocacy organization with chapters throughout the world. The San Diego chapter is an all volunteer group made up of parents, family and friends of LGBT people.
