SOLANA BEACH -- Big love from around the world will be filling the popular Belly Up music venue here next Monday, all for a local blues legend who is suffering from some serious health problems.

Jazz and blues singer-songwriter Candye Kane found out in January that she has pancreatic cancer. It is her second bout with the painful and difficult disease.

The jarring news came on the heels of another successful run of her stage bio-musical, "Toughest Girl Alive" at La Mesa's Moxie theater.
