SAN DIEGO – The cult classic “Hedwig And The Angry Inch” is expected to be a big draw Wednesday night at FilmOut San Diego’s monthly screening at the historic Birch North Park Theatre.

The 2001 Sundance Film Festival entry won awards for Best Director and Audience Favorite. It also won Outstanding Film (Limited Edition) at the 2002 GLAAD Media Awards.

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, best known as The Fabulous Beekman Boys, won CBS’s "The Amazing Race" and its $1 million grand prize last night as the couple crossed the finish line in New York City, beating out nine other teams and ending a trip that covered nine countries and more than 25,000 miles.

FBI: Anti-gay hate crimes rise in latest figures

WASHINGTON – For the first time, crimes directed against individuals on the basis of sexual orientation are the second most frequent hate crime committed after crimes based on race, according to the 2011 Hate Crimes statistics released today by the FBI as part of the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program.

Surpassing crimes committed on the basis on religion, the number of reported hate crimes committed against gay men and lesbians increased from 1,277 in 2010 to 1,293 in 2011.

Bel Ami porn stars’ lawsuit against gay cruise line dismissed

A lawsuit by Bel Ami Online, a European company known in the gay community for its line of porn videos featuring extremely young actors, and RSVP, an American company specializing in all-gay charter cruises, was dismissed by a federal judge in Los Angeles last week.
