SAN DIEGO – Hundreds of LGBT pride celebrations take place in cities and towns across the United States and the world throughout the year, but it is always special when Pride is celebrated at home. There is a certain air of fabulousness that can be felt in the air as the LGBT community and their allies come out in full force, and put on their brightest rainbow colors.

SAN DIEGO -- Eden just finalized its star-studded Pride weekend lineup. Liberty Pride will feature extended hours on the patio and at Ciro’s Pizza, along with an extensive schedule of events Thursday though Sunday.

To accommodate the extra crowds, the currently closed restaurant will temporarily re-open. The space will be used as a lounge area with additional bar setup throughout Pride; it will also offer a happy hour and a Ciro’s menu, and a buffet brunch on both Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.

SDPIX to host Super Hero Party for Comic-Con fans at Bourbon Street on Saturday

SAN DIEGO -- As the annual International Comic-Con rolls into town, attracting over 100,000 participants with a large LGBT following, SDPIX and Bourbon Street Bar & Grill have teamed up to present a special event in light of the occasion: The Super Hero Party, taking place this Saturday, July 14.

The party will be part of Bourbon Street's first-ever "Super Hero Week," which will include four nights of "righteous" events from July 12-15.

Sunday fun-day just got a little funner!

Top of the Park is now having a weekly Sunday Tea Dance and BBQ with new expanded hours from 1 to 8 pm, all summer long until Labor Day.

Specials include $5 burgers and hot dogs with chips and $3 well drinks, plus high energy music by DJ Jay Brannon.

Perhaps best of all, there's no cover. What with the panoramic view of the city from up there, there's probably no nicer place to spend a sunny summer day with friends.

SAN DIEGO -- Rich's will go under the sea this Saturday as SDPIX presents "Atlantis: The Club Under The Sea."

This event is one of the most popular SDPIX parties held at Rich's, as the club is transformed into an underwater paradise. Rich's will be decked out with under the decor and hot merman go-go dancers, with free body painting available for guests who want to take part in the theme. "Atlantis" themed attire is encouraged.

DJ Taj will spin all night long.

Pool party season is upon us, and there's no better sign of this than the first Guys Like Us (GLU) Pool Party of 2012, coming up July 14 at a private estate in Mission Hills.

These GLU parties have traditionally been some of the best and most eagerly anticipated pool parties locally. You can view photos from some of the previous events here. Fundraisers for their AIDS Walk team, the GLU has raised thousands of dollars for the cause over the years.

SDPIX presents "The Wig Party" TONIGHT at Eden

SAN DIEGO -- Bigger is always better - especially when it comes to hair. Customers at Eden tonight are encouraged to wear their best wigs tonight, for the nightclub's first ever "Wig Party," presented by SDPIX.

The event, which will include music by DJ Schoeny, will include a wig contest with over $1,000 in cash and prizes for the best entries. Participants can wear any type of wig, the only requirement is that the hair on the contestants head does not belong to them.

Free SDPIX memberships will also be available throughout the night.

William Zakrajshek (aka DJ Will Z) is once again organizing a gay field trip to the San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds this year.

According to a Facebook page, the 2nd Annual Unofficial Gay Days at the Del Mar Fair is scheduled for this Sunday, from 2 to 11 pm.
