SAN DIEGO -- Being Alive San Diego, which has provided life-saving services to San Diegans living with HIV and AIDS for over 20 years, has recently received a $30,000 matching gift from two of the organization's supporters.

The organization, which has struggled over the years due to government funding cuts, hopes community members will step up and help reach the matching donation goal so Being Alive can continue its tradition of providing high-quality services to those most in need.

SAN DIEGO – To support of the work of Being Alive, a local HIV/AIDS service provider, Integrité Salon will present a fashion show tonight at Rich’s called "Existing with Dynamic Virtue."

The event, which is being organized by staff of the salon, will include a fashion show, food reception, and a special performance by FLAVA.

Funding crisis strikes San Diego groups helping people living with HIV/AIDS

SAN DIEGO -- The Four Friends, a group of non-profit organizations that provide a number of services to people living with HIV/AIDS, will hold a sidewalk sale fundraiser on Saturday, April 30.

The Four Friends are Being Alive San Diego, Special Delivery, Stepping Stone and Townspeople.

The sidewalk sale is a first step to generate money for the four organizations since government funding has been cut, which threatens the important services that these organizations provide.
