Thursday luncheon to discuss LGBT financial strategies

SAN DIEGO -- Merrill Lynch and San Diego Gay & Lesbian News will present an exclusive speaking engagement on financial strategies for the LGBT community on Thursday, July 19, from 3:30-5 pm at Wang's North Park.

The presentation, "Invest In Your Future - LGBT Financial Strategies for Today," will be led by Antonio Bestard, Tara Benedict and David Reicks, a trio of financial advisors at Merrill Lynch's downtown San Diego office.

Artist completes North Park dinosaur mural

SAN DIEGO -- The North Park business district has a new neighbor. It is not a new storefront, nor is it a new resident. Painted alongside the west-facing wall of Wang’s North Park restaurant is a 50-foot cartoon dinosaur.

Wang’s North Park co-owner Tom Eads said he and his partners were initially reluctant to have the mural painted on the side of their restaurant.
