Chely Wright to be on Joy Behar tonight

NEW YORK -- Tonight, Tuesday, November 15, 2011, country music star Chely Wright will take to the airwaves on CNN's HLN network.

Wright will be a guest of The Joy Behar Show at 10 pm, ET.

Among the many topics that may be covered is the documentary that chronicles the singer's difficult, often dark and very public coming out process, "Wish Me Away."

Chely Wright ties the knot with Lauren Blitzer

CONNECTICUT -- This past weekend, when most eyes were focused on the nuptials of Kim Kardashian in Los Angeles, there was another wedding on the other side of the country that was also making news.

Chely Wright, the country music star who's very public coming out last year cost her many country music fans but gained her the respect and appreciation of the LGBT community, married her partner, LGBT activist Lauren Blitzer.

The event took place at the home of Blitzer's aunt in Connecticut and because Blitzer is Jewish, was presided over by both a rabbi and a Christian minister.

By now, Chely Wright's coming out story is old news to most of us; however, a new film -- that hits the film festival circuit starting tonight in Los Angeles -- is about to blow the lid off of what you thought you knew about her journey through her very public coming out.

It was two full years before Wright graced Oprah's couch in the spring of 2010, that she made the initial decision to come out in such a public way. She realized that if she was going to make a difference, she needed to do it with a defined purpose and complete abandon.
