Beck Rosato Lewis always knew that something wasn’t quite right growing up, that her feelings were different. She was a tomboy who was attracted to girls, while other girls she played with only liked boys.

Even after coming out as a butch lesbian, that identity seemed to be missing something. Eventually the light bulb went off, and Beck realized that she was born in the wrong body. Less than two years ago, she began transitioning into a male identity.

Speech comes with responsibility. Early on in life, most of us are taught by means of gentle persuasion or violent response that words, like deeds, have consequence. A polite admonition or a punch in the nose can be clear consequence of the power of words.

Morris Sadek, an Egyptian-American Coptic Christian from California, is part of a group called the National American Coptic Assembly (NACA). The group is decidedly anti-Islamic, and apparently Sadek decided to make a video.

San Marcos teen's VIDEO on Chick-fil-A "appreciation" goes viral

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – A video shot by a teenager at the “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” last week in San Marcos has gotten lots of attention on YouTube.

Anzy McWha, the 16-year-old daughter of Jane Stimmel of San Marcos, named her video “Chick Fil A” and as of Tuesday morning it has been seen by 62,641 people on YouTube. The video has been given 589 likes and 153 dislikes.

Stimmel, who identifies as a lesbian and a single parent, alerted San Diego Gay & Lesbian News to the video and said she was very proud of her daughter.

A group of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students from the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance have produced an emotional new video in which they speak at length about the issues facing the current community in a unique way: by "addressing" their 40-year-old selves.

VIDEO: Sean Sala launches "It Is Time" podcast

SAN DIEGO -- Community activist Sean Sala has created a new podcast called "It Is Time," which he plans to feature on his blog TalkHillcrest.com.

In his initial podcast, which can be heard via YouTube, Sala discusses his involvement with last summer's "Military March" at the San Diego LGBT Pride Parade.

COMMENTARY: "Asians in the Library" episode is wake-up call to LGBT community

This March, UCLA student Alexandra Wallace shot to viral Internet infamy with her offensive "Asians in the Library" video.

In three short minutes posted onto YouTube, Alexandra bemoans the “hordes” of Asian students accepted at UCLA. She urges them to adopt "American manners." She complains about Asians making mobile phone calls in the library to family impacted by the recent tsunami in Japan. And to top it all off, she offers a mocking interpretation of Asian languages, complete with “ching chong ling long ting tong.”

CGIU challenges college students to address global issues with practical, innovative solutions by learning how to solve problems by building relationships, creating action plans, participating in hands-on workshops, and following up with CGI U as they complete their projects.
